Hello Y'all

I bet you thought I would never post again, huh? It's funny how all of a sudden the inspiration stopped, and I just didn't know what to do. Or is it that I have so many ideas in my head that I didn't know where to start? Either way, I am back, and the Christmas crafting has begun. I started making cards for a Christmas Bizarre I have been invited to participate in, but I have so many other Christmas projects that I want to try, that I just can't seem to focus. Here are some of the projects I have been working on. Hope you enjoy.
My first attempt at Subway art. I wasn't very happy with this one, so I started researching How To videos and learned the proper technique (I think)

Christmas Card set #2

Such a cute little snow scene. I also tried a little embossing on this one.

Gift tag #4 (it's a heavy little sucker with all the buttons)

Oh so many more tags........

My fist snowman made of foam balls, yarn, ribbon, and wire. (The hat and arms need work, but he came out so cute!)

Attempt #2 at Subway art. This is just phase one. I will paint the canvas today, remove the stickers, and see what kind of results I get. I sure hope it looks good. This sucker is going on top of my piano for the holidays.

Random

I am finally coming to the end of the card projects for the Christmas Extravaganza on Friday. Honestly, I don't have much of an imagination left. Only one project left, to alter a composition notebook that I hope to take orders in. Here are some of the latest cards I have made. Hope you enjoy.

Doing a little Halloween Crafting

Some cute little treat boxes using Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. I love giving these to teachers. Hope you enjoy. For some reason, I can't get the picture to turn. I have tried everything.

What a fantastic weekend it has been so far.

My sister is here, we had our 20 year Homecoming reunion last night, and today I have introduced my sister to her new Cricut. These are the two cards we made while she was learning all the little functions like shadowing and layering. Hope you enjoy.

A little this, A little that

It sure has been busy around here. I finally got all the Halloween cards made for the girls teachers and then decided to pull out the basketball cartridge because basketball season is quickly approaching. My daughter, Kaitlynn, will be trying out for the school team next week, and my husband will be holding try-outs for his team also. I'm about to become a basketball widow again. Here are the last two halloween cards, and I went ahead and made my husband a birthday card even though his birthday is another month away. Hope you enjoy.

Halloween fever

I have been playing in my craftroom all afternoon making Halloween cards for Kaitlynn and Mallory's teachers. Whew! 14 teachers between the 2 of them. I am running out of ideas and still need to make 2 more. I guess I'll finish them tomorrow. Hope you enjoy!

CPS Sketch #238

Decided to do a little blog hopping this afternoon for some inspiration and found this sketch challenge. I decided to start making some Halloween cards for my girls' teachers, but didn't want them to all look the same. I thought this would make a great card design. Hope you enjoy.

Did a little painting today.

Decided to leave the art room and let the girls do some paintings. They came out so cute.
The girls painted the witch's hats and I painted the shoe. I now have my front porch Halloween decorations.

JUGS sketch challenge

Here is a little christmas card inspired by the JUGS sketch for this month. Hope you enjoy.

My internet is finally working again!

It's has been the longest week ever. My internet air card was maxed out on Monday and I had to wait until today for it to start a new billing cycle. You would think AT&T would figure out a way to get DSL to my house. I live across a field from the high school and across another field from an airport, yet they say we are too far out. I cannot wait until our contracts with them are up. They can kiss my business goodbye.
Since I wasn't sitting at my computer, I had a little time to make some cards today, just for the fun of it. I found the coolest website for Paper Crafts magazine and saw where you can download freebie cut-outs. I am so used to just using my cricut for my die-cuts, that when I saw this, I figured I would give it a try. Hope you enjoy.

I also received the Paisley cartridge (for free with Cricut rewards) and decided to make a card for my daughter, Kaitlynn. These three monkeys reminded me of her group of friends: Kaitlyn, Cassie, and Shelby. I thought it was very appropriate (those knuckleheads!)

I wear PINK for my MOM

It has been such a fantastic weekend, and what better way to wrap it up - cupcakes! Kaitlynn and I have been moving and grooving in the kitchen making cupcakes for the bake sale tomorrow in which the volleyball team is raising money for breast cancer research. I have never been much of a baker, but the cause means so much to me now. It is nearly a year ago that my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I don't know a better way to honor her but to wear pink, raise money for a cure, and eat cupcakes. Hope you enjoy.
Now, on to the rice krispy treats. But first, I would like to share with you a little project that I worked on this morning for Mallory's birthday party. Her birthday is on Halloween and it is a given that we would celebrate Halloween style, but she threw me for a loop this year. She wanted to go play laser tag instead. Well, this is what I have come up with (I had to add googly eyes for a little spook). Hope you enjoy.
